September 19, 2005... That was the last time I posted a vid, not including class assignments. I outgrew my vidding program, and my poor, old laptop wouldn't let me expand my horizons. I recently got a new desktop, however, and it has allowed me such growth. So now, after two years, I present... a Supernatural vid!

I finished the anniversary video!

The party went well, and the video was a hit. My mom cried. My grandfather cried. My cousin cried. My brother cried. I cried afterwards. We were just a little emotional mess. But it was the good kind of emotional mess. Now I get to make about half a dozen copies of the video to give to my aunts. *g*

EDIT: My brother just sent me a long, sappy e-mail about how he loves me. Now I am definitely crying! *sniffle*

So, that vid I'm making for my grandparents' 50th anniversary? Their actual anniversary is on Dec. 24m which is what I had been planning my vidding schedule around. When does my mom expect it to be finished? Two days from now when we have a party for them. I asked her, for crying out loud, when I heard about the party if she expected the vid to be done by then, and she told me no. She apparently changed her mind and didn’t tell me.

I know we share a brain, Mom, but your half doesn't always communicate with my half. TELL ME THESE THINGS BEFORE I ONLY HAVE TWO DAYS LEFT. And I still don't know how to use Premiere!

Also, I hate her laptop even if it does amuse me with chipmunk voices…

*bangs head on desk repeatedly*

My grandparents' 50th wedding anniversary will be December 24. I wanted to do something very special for them: a vid made up of photographs of their lives and their children's lives, etc. My mom and I have been planning this off and on for two years now. I left the job of collecting and scanning the photos to my mom, but she is very much behind, as in she hasn't even started. *shakes head at her* So, if she even gets to it, I'm going to have to be working rapidly to complete the vid by Christmas Eve. And considering the workload I have for the end of semester, I won't even get to really plan it (that includes learning a new vidding program!) until I get out for the holidays in the first week of December. Focusing on that will leave me precious little time for anything else, even the pressies and cards and such I want to send out to my lovies on my F-List and my family. I prefer to make my own gifts, so there is another time crunch. There are some other things going on right now, too, but I don't want to talk about them here just yet.

We reached only ~~300~~ 250 copies instead of the 400 we originally wanted, but hey, that's still pretty good.

So, anyone on campus who is reading this, keep tuned to the school e-mail to see when they will be passed out -- though I believe that will happen Dead Day. And get your copy! Get a copy or I'll cry...

I finished the video yearbook editing yesterday. Today and for the rest of the weekend, my team is copying the finished product on to DVD. This should be the easy part, right? Not so much.

EDIT: After almost 6.5 hours of work... ~127 of 400 copies completed.

And that's not counting the labels. Oy.

I just got notification about an assignment, say, and hour or so ago.

I have to produce/direct/film/edit/etc. yet another "film"... this time, a video for the yearbook. I have less that a month to get everything pulled together and have it finished - in addiction to everything else I have to do for other classes. Unlike my music video from last semester, I have ~~minions~~ helpers, so maybe it can all get done with minimal stress. And this would count as our final exam, which kinda rocks.

Anyway... If I'm not around for long periods of time, I'm not ignoring you! Well, maybe I am, but not because I don't love you. *g*
