Vid Alert... no, really!!

September 19, 2005... That was the last time I posted a vid, not including class assignments. I outgrew my vidding program, and my poor, old laptop wouldn't let me expand my horizons. I recently got a new desktop, however, and it has allowed me such growth. So now, after two years, I present... a Supernatural vid!

This is sort of a new era of my vids, so feedback is especially appreciated. Let me know what I'm doing wrong, what I'm doing right, or just if I'm doing so-so. Special thanks to my new computer, Kyle HP. It's not an exaggeration when I say that he made this vid possible. Also, snuggles to tehshroom because she is made of awesome. :)

The vid is awesome. Really great song choice.

I loved this blending over thingie (yay!lingo expert at work ;)) you did in the middle. I also liked the white fading thingie (yay! again) you did between the scenes at the beginning. Somewhere around the middle I lost you, because I was so caught up in the vid to pay attention to details. This is a good thing. I will have to rewatch it again later and see what else I notice.

Oh, with the title above your name the second choice is perfect for the end frame. And I still see the muffin. ;)

Love the vid. You still have the touch. I love all the flashing effects you added. It gives it a very dreamlike, lost quality that totally reflects Dean's mental state.

That song with that episode was absolutely brilliant! And I have to agree with The Em, all the flashes and the dual picture parts made it seem very dream like; almost like an out of body experience for Dean.

Do you happen to know when SN starts up again?

I almost used the song for a "Sateda" vid, but I'm glad I waited. I like it better with "AHBL." :)

Why not do both? It's equally appropriate for each episode. And since you're not double dipping in one show I don't think it'd be bad to reuse the song.

I don't really like Placebo but this one song is amazing and it worked very very well with that season finale. I love the effects that you used, the transitions or whatever you call it from one scene to another.

I wanna watch the ep again now.

aw, man that's really awesome. I really loved the Bobby sequence and the fade-in-fade-out images near the end. It's nice to see a vidder who isn't afraid to leave a little bit of black screen, it gives this sort of... pulsing? effect to the images so that "if I only could, be running up that hill" is almost like a heartbeat. Mmm, lovely job.

Oh, I really love this. It's so well-constructed - since the song is so repetitive, it would have been easy for the vid to feel repetitive, but you kept the whole thing moving. Fabulous, thank you!
