A Journal for SKRoberts

Due to LiveJournal changing their Terms of Service to be super sketchy, I decided to move my journal to Dreamwidth. Thankfully, DW is a branch-off of LJ, so there's been practically no learning curve getting used to it, and DW let me import my LJ, so my archive of ridiculousness is mostly intact. At lot of life happened over the 13 years I'd been on LJ, so I'm very appreciative I was able to preserve it on DW. :)

2016 can go die in a fire.

When it's cold, I like to low-key cosplay Sherlock because it makes me giggle throughout the day and thus being cold sucks a little less. :D

Fri. 1/1, 1:45pm - I'm starting off 2016 in a bit of pain in my face and slightly panicky...
Fri. 1/1, 1:46pm - …I hate everything…
Fri. 1/1, 8:51pm - I've been in continuous pain since Monday. I went to a doctor and got some meds, but I'm still in pain. If there's no change tomorrow, I think I may have a complete breakdown... :'(
Sat. 1/2, 2:27pm - I'm still in a lot of pain. Only had a minor breakdown, though. Now I've had a second doctor consult and have new meds to try... *crossing fingers*
Sat. 1/2, 2:29pm - My face is so swollen, I look like a chipmunk that's gathered a bountiful feast for winter…
Mon. 1/4, 6:29pm - Third doctor consult. It looks like I get to be hooked up to an IV for the next two days... Yeay?
Tue. 1/5, 11:28am - I dream of the days when I don't wake up weeping.
Thu. 1/7, 9:59am - I finally have a diagnosis: Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) infection... Well isn't that a kick in the face.
Thu. 1/7, 10:01am - Well, I need four additional days of IV antibiotics... *headdesk* At least the pain is far more manageable, so that's something...
Sun. 1/10, 2:55pm - Last day on the IV! I expect to return to work tomorrow (I like work, shut up). I'm tired of staying in bed for 16 hours a day.

Whew!

I hate that I can't tell if my anxiety is triggering palpitations or if palpitations are triggering my anxiety.

• I feel like I've been punched in the throat by Hellboy... :(
• ...and I clearly have a fever. Looks like I'm hitting the NyQuil tonight... gaahhh
• I woke up with a deep, gravelly voice... My dog is really confused.
• I now sound like a broken squeaky toy. Rosie is still confused.
• I've lost my voice completely and am having to mime to coworkers to communicate... Fun times!

My gallbladder is the WORST.

So, I turn 30 this year... To celebrate, I think I need to finally go to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter... Yep...
