Roomie MK broke down and now has a Betta herself. Muhahaha!!

His name is Alfie. He's wee-er than my boys and has blue eyes. Quite handsome.

One day last semester, we found a fat mantis on the sidewalk. To prevent squishage, we picked it up to move it and, well, we ended up keeping it. Long story short, it was a female and soon had "baby pods" (egg sacks) like crazy! A few weeks ago, the baby pods started hatching, and now we have some two dozen wee nymphs. :D

Look at them all!

That green paper is a streamer left over from a party. It's about 4.4 cm wide, to give you a clue as to how tiny these guys are.

"Hiya!"

*squishes them*

OMG! The critters are just too cute! Are you planning on keeping them or releasing them into the wild?

I love the fish. It has shiny colours that go so well with the green of the plants.

And you should release the baby mantises before they become sexually active. I guess the next generation will fill up that cage thingie they are in. Despite their size.
