Midterms... I have two more next week. :( It’s really messing with my Me Time. I have a few new vids I want to add to my site -- on which I am getting some great feedback :D -- but I won’t have the time until after the darn exams. And then, I jump right into research papers and speeches... ::sign::

So, I went to the Alabama Shakespeare Festival to see Macbeth! Okay, after I got over most of the giggle factor of how silly I think stage acting is, the play was pretty cool. (But I swear, every time they spoke, I wanted to stand up and yell “ACTING!!” in a very dramatic voice... just a little inside joke with me. I can’t help it.) The stage was awesome. They had things coming out of the floor, coming from the ceiling. These guys don’t play around (pardon the pun); it was a nice setup. Act IV, scene I -- The prophecies about Macduff and Macbeth’s defeat: Definitely my favorite scene special effects-wise but also my least favorite scene content-wise. They used a screen to project the apparitions from behind. It was pretty darn cool, but really creepy! (Even the friends I mention below were quiet!) I can’t even describe how creepy it was, but I just wanted to get up and runaway. But that would have been so undignified. :D And can you believe the friends I went with either slept or laughed the whole time? It’s a tragedy, for cryin’ out loud, not a comedy! Perhaps it was just there version of the giggle factor... But I though it was a little excessive.

Stargate SG-1 --“Inauguration” -- Wow, that was pretty interesting for a clip episode! I actually watched the whole thing, though I had recorded it and could have fast-forwarded through things. I liked William Devane as The President, very nice choice of casting. And I really liked his character... He questioned things, thought things through, and was realistic about what could happen, regardless of what he wanted to happen. That impressed the heck out of me, especially since he had Kinsey dogging him the whole time. And what’s this? Woolsey actually has a conscience? Honestly, good for him. I hope he uses it well. Kinsey is still a jackass... is and always will be. Grrrrrrrrr... JERK MUFFIN!!

Let’s see who can guess what I’ve been thinking about all day, for some odd reason. 106 words.

Title: Distraction
Prompt: "bloviating"

Spoilers: “Abyss”

Muffins.

There are so many different kinds.

Blueberry, bran, banana nut, apple cinnamon.

Purple, yellow, red.

Tart, fluffy, extra sugary.

No two muffins are exactly alike.

They’re sort of like people in that respect.

***

Muffins on the brain.

Muffins, bocce, I don’t care.

Anything to keep my mind off of Ba’al’s bloviating on how this will never end until I tell him everything he wants to know.

Ya think he wants a great recipe for muffins?

***

Safe again, home in the Infirmary.

Carter asks if I need anything, and I settle for water.

Almost giggled, though...

Would much rather have a nice, warm muffin.
