Computer Update

Last week, I took my laptop Hal to the "doctor." After being gone all weekend for work, I went to check up on him today.

He... didn't make it. :(

You were such a good little computer, Hal. I will miss you greatly. But at least I'll have the memories... especially since all my files died with you. *pats*

I had a week to prepare myself that he may not be fixable, so at least I'm not too devastated. But he was a good friend.

I will need to rebuild my various files, like my music collection and fandom pics and Photoshop brushes and such, so after I go through what back-up disks I have, I'll probably ask for help with that. :)

Last big back-up was done in November of last year, so that's something. But I lost all the random photos I took since then. Alas...

Did they give you back Hal? Because you might still be able to access things on the harddrive by setting it up as an auxillary drive, if I remember correctly...

Okay! He hasn't been feeling well the last couple of days but I will ask him tomorrow. :D

He knows all too well the pain of a lost laptop; he lost two in six months, so he will be more than willing to give you pointers. :D
