Yay! We need cards for Are You A Goa'uld? They'll be the size of regular playing cards. We need 2 sets of cards, and I'd think of them as like Blue set and Red set. The designs for the backs of the cards should make it clear which set of cards it is. Each set should have the following cards:
Goa'uld (I think we need 4) Medical Officer (1) SGC (6)
We'd like to have pictures of people for the cards. All of the cards can have different people. (So, the medical officer in Blue set would be Janet and in Red set would be Lam, for example.) We want to have all 7 members of SG-1, Walter, Hammond, Siler, Landry, and um, I don't think we picked another person!
The number of Goa'uld and SGC might go up after I talk to Nick, but I think this gives you a nice base to work from.
Backsides -- + How about Set 1: Chevron lit red, and Set 2: Chevron lit blue...?
Front sides -- + Any 4 Goa'ulds? Like... Apophis, Hathor, Anubis, and Imhotep (though not necessarily them)? And you would like different Goa'ulds on different the sets? Are they allowed to repeat, though? + I think Ill use Janet and Lam, thanks. ;) + Only 6 SGC? Does that mean the SG-1 team counts as 1 plus Walter, Hammond, Siler, Landry, and Unknown is the other 5? If so, you want all 7 SG-1 members on one card?
Anything else, let me know! (BTW, I'm not getting all my LJ memos, so you may want to discuss this over e-mail if you need this done quickly.)
Okay, I talked to Nick again and he said 4 Goa'uld and 10 SGC cards for each deck.
We'd like to use different pictures for each set to get the maximum number of characters showcased.
Lemme spell it out:
Blue Set G1 Apophis G2 Hathor G3 Anubis G4 Yuu S1 Jack S2 Daniel S3 Jonas S4 Vala S5 Siler S6 Landry S7 Col. Dave Dixon (Adam Baldwin) S8 Maj. Davis S9 Dr. Felger S10 Maj. Lorne (from an SG-1 appearance)
Red Set G1 Ba'al G2 Osiris G3 Heru'ur G4 Sokar S1 Sam S2 Teal'c S3 Mitchell S4 Walter S5 Hammond S6 Col. Reynolds S7 Dr. Lee S8 McKay (from an SG-1 appearance) S9 Rothman S10 Kawalsky
Our original idea was something like the comic look, but I'm willing to go with whatever you think you can make look best. We do need some sort of a boarder and a little box at the bottom that says "Goa'uld," "Medical Officer," or "SGC Member." (If you can fit the character's name below, that would be a nice touch, too.)
I'd love it if these cards could be finished by the end of July, so that way we could print them out and have this game all wrapped up for the beginning of August. If it takes a bit longer, that shouldn't be a problem, but "a bit" is like a week.
That's not the comicy style I was trying to describe.... Lemme upload an icon. Okay. Like this icon. *points* That is what Nick would like most. Some sort of style like that.
Or Nick wants it really boring with just a screencap.
(He's really depressing me with how boring he's describing this.)
Can you make a sample or two and let me show the finished card to him?
Don't worry about remembering, Nick and I both like the photo style better. Too much definition is lost around the face on the comic style.
The one change we want to make on the sample is to scrap the idea of 2 card sets and instead have SGC Members with the BLUE background, Goa'uld with the RED background, and Medical Officers with a GREEN background.
We still want all of the cards mentioned in the previous list, but Nick wants to add 4 SCG members. Let's make them: Balinsky Lt. Elliot Lt. Haliey Lt. Groggin
So, one set of cards (we'll need to design a back to the cards using the Stargate) with 24 SGC Members, 8 Goa'uld, and 2 Medical Officers.
Yep! I'll show this to Nick tonight to confirm, but I'm pretty sure this will be the way we go.
Also, would you be free to help with the Clue game? I've got someone working on it, but honestly, her work just isn't as nice as yours. Also, I'm not sure that she's free to finish as she's been mostly MIA for awhile.
IMDb.com only has a "Lieutenant Grogan" played by David Kopp. Is this "Lt. Groggin"? If so, is there anywhere we can check to know for sure how to spell his name?
Nick would like the whole Gate, but part of the gate might look nicer, so play around. As for text, it should say "Are You a Goa'uld?"
Nick would also like to get rid of the last 4 that I named and instead use Sheppard, Weir, Caldwell, and Zelenka. And make Carson as another Medical Officer.
Also, Nick would go and change things after I'd already gotten the caps and cropped them. :P (But I like the new choices better, so it's not biggie. *g*)
I'm going to be out of town for a few days, so keep giving me suggestions if you have them, and I'll respond when I can. I hope to be able to work on these while I'm away, so don't make any drastic changes!
I tried to get these to you before I left, but my wireless was being an ass. But here they are now!
Final drafts (minus text) -- If these meet your standards, I will go ahead and do all of the cards. If you want to make changes, tell me now! We can discuss the text when I get to that point...
Working draft(s) -- Since you like the partial Gate better, it'll probably look similar to this in that I'll cartoonify the background, but probably in shades of grey or some such...
Just so you know, I think I've completely forgotten how I made the comic-y ones, so at this time, I have no idea how to duplicate the look. *doofus* If it's what you want, though, I'll figure it out... eventually.

Date: June 22nd, 2007 07:04 pm (UTC)1. Comic-y. Well, as comic-y as I think I can get it.
Example: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v171/SKRoberts/Contests/Option1.jpg
2. Circles. I have no idea where I found this. *g*
Example: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v171/SKRoberts/Contests/Option2.jpg
3. Mission Briefing Folders.
