This morning...

Dishes in the sink: *being washed*
Mom: Hey, did you take Pepto[-Bismol] last night?
Me: *wonders if she's psychic* Uh... yeah?
Mom: *holds up measuring spoons with pink sticky stuff on them* You're the only one in this house how would actually measure it out. *rolls eyes*
Me: But... bu... The bottle says to take two Tablespoons!
Bottle of Pepto: *snickers*

My family always makes fun of me for following directions. And they wonder why I don't like to help out in the kitchen. :P

It sometimes is funny. I still remember my boss' daughter gettting a ruler to measure that the dough won't be to thick or thin when we baked cookies last year. *pats her and you and Monk and every other OCD person who has to deal with people like me and your mom*

I hope next time she won't be that bad either. Or next time I'll just read "flatten the dough" and not "flatten the dough to about 5 to 10 mm". It was clearly my own fault for reading out the numbers. But I could not know that she'll actually get a ruler and make sure it is 7 to 8 mm everywhere. It was funny, though. And it helped to pass the time until her parents got home, cause it took about twice as long as it would have without it. Maybe even three times as long.

But... What's wrong with measuring it out?

Makes sense to me. I even get kinda annoyed when the directions aren't specific enough. Like I was putting in a Weight Watchers tv dinner thing for dinner, and I had to ask my dad how far was I supposed to pull the cover back? A little bit? A lot? But at least they keep the macaroni and cheese and salisbury steak separated, because those are foods that shouldn't touch. :P

Hey, I use the measuring spoons.

How else am I gonna know if I'm getting the right dosage? Medicine tastes nasty enough; I'm not going to risk taking too much and overdosing or too little and it not having any effect at all.

Since you showed me the piglets, I thought I'd show you the icon I made yesterday.

Feel free to suggest improvments and give constructive critisism. I think Shroomy can't keep up with my icon making anymore. Poor her. Well, it is her own fault for getting me into it in the first place. ;)

That is totally not the icon. I am not awake yet and the medicine is kicking my stomach, which is not good for the brain. Well, that above is the picture I used for the icon, this is the actual icon

Thank you.

*snuggles*

The text is a quote from the show. I love Herbert. Poor little pig. *snuggles him*

I consider using it. But I also consider giving it to Alli in an icon birthday post for her and if she wants to have it, I can't use it. I think. Ah, well, she probably doesn't want it anyway.
