The End to the "Harry Potter" Saga
July 17th, 2007 03:16 pmCome July 21, I'm going on hiatus from LJ for as long as it takes. Why? Because being spoiled really pisses me off. And I don't like to be pissed off. Thus, it's best for everyone if I don't get spoiled.
Why don't I want to be spoiled for Harry Potter particularly? Because it's the only series of books I've been genuinely excited about. Ever. At first, I refused to read them because everyone and their brother were spazzing out about them. I don't like it when something is advertised and exposed so much it seems to be the only thing out there because it's like someone is telling me what to like, and I don't like being told what to do. (This is also why I've never seen Titanic and am only recently able to actually look at Leonardo DiCaprio without cringing.) But after seeing the first movie, I was awestruck and chose to read them. *pets them*
So yes, I'm one of those people who is going to disappear because of a book. Don't like it? Deal with it or de-friend me.
