Looky -- I did a drabble for this week's word AND fulfilled another challenge, all in one drabble. Yeay for me. And it's 100 words again!
=====
Title: Litany
Prompt: "punctilio"
Spoilers: "Children of the Gods"
I'm won't let it happen.
I'm not going to let them take him.
Please, Skaara, still be at the Gate.
I can save you.
Just let me get there in time.
***
God, you're still here.
I barge down the hill, calling your name and ignoring every punctilio of the Goa'uld's dramatic departure.
You respond to my calls.
I let myself feel a glimmer of hope.
And that hope was taken away so abruptly.
I find myself on the ground, struck down by your hand.
You've been taken.
Taken as a host.
Why you?
God, why him?!
I've lost another child.
Author's Note: "litany" -- a repeating of something, usually in prayer ... "punctilio" -- a nice point of exactness in conduct, ceremony, or proceeding; particularity or exactness in forms; as, the punctilios of a public ceremony.
