List everything that's on your computer desk! I know we all have messy desks, but try to get everything. You can tell a lot about a person from their clutter.
I try to keep my desk as clutter-less as possible because I hate losing functionality. So, it more of less looks like this most of the time...
I'll try to go from left to right as much as possible.
Desk-Level
• Lamp
• Zody, The Multipurpose Clingy Guy
• Phone
• Pipe-Cleaner Turtle, Phone Guardian
• Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles folder, used almost as a poster
• Morning meds, including vitamins and such
• Firefly DVD Set, out of its normal location because I'm squeeing with
stoopbeck with them currently
• Hal, my laptop
• Headphones plugged into Hal
• Cords connecting to Hal
• The Shiny Pineapple, Hal's Guardian
• Many Post-It notes about class assignments, notes to self
• Shelving unit*
• Scrap pieces of paper under shelving unit, there for any reasons I may need scrap pieces of paper
• Errant paperclips
• A tooth pick
• Night-time med, which usually hides behind Hal
• Stack of schoolbooks and other school-related stuff
• School ID, dorm room key, and mailbox key
• Pen
• Red and white pom-pom, hiding in back
*Shelf, Bottom-Level
• Writable disks for backing up files and such
• Photographs: My brother and me (wooden frame), my parents (blue frame), my brother and sister-in-law and me (not in frame), muffins (hiding behind the ones not in a frame), my grandparents (other wooden frame), and me at my high school graduation (pillow-y frame, hiding in back)
• Tiny drawers of tiny office supplies
• Phone Card on top of tiny drawers
• Post-It flags for marking pages and such in my textbooks
• Various Post-It notes, because they're so cool
• Loose change
• Writing utensils, including a froggie pen and hammer pencil for smacking myself over the head when needed
• Writing utensil holder, made by me using clay that was baked in the oven - uber spiffy
• Stapler
• Mirror
• Various lip moisturizers to combat the evil weather-induced dry lips
• Paperclip corral
• Smiley Beanbag Ball, Paperclip Guardian, lives in paperclip corral
• Manicure kit - so cool
• Big-butted soup cup, painted by me
• Digital camera, lives in big-butted soup cup
Shelf, Middle-Level aka Fangeek Shrine
• Post-It notes mentioning, in both English and Spanish, the Ominous Squid, my nickname for Anubis of SG-1, because I am easily amused
• Pocket Ref, multipurpose reference book
• Sets of 5 Webster's Pocket Dictionaries
• CD case full of disks of Stargate SG-1 episodes for vid making
• Random cardstock for flashcards and sticky labels for labeling stickily
• The Princess Bride, yet to be read
• Two tins, one empty yet serves a purpose**, of cinnamon-flavored Altoids
• Jack O'Neill magnet, **held up by the Altoid tins, a pressie from my hand-wifey,
