O'Neill.
A good Irish name.
I haven't felt Irish my whole life, really.
Though, I do remember some things my relatives told me about Celtic culture.
Like Samhain.
Summer's end.
Winter's beginning.
When darkness takes over light.
In my experience, it never fails...
When November hits, the weather sharply changes.
Warm turns to cold.
Sometimes I feel like I'm in the Samhain of my life.
Ever since losing Charlie.
My dark side is all I see now.
I've turned cold.
And I can't find my way out of it alone.
But these people...
My team.
I'm beginning to see that they might just be my way back to the light.
Author's Note: Samhain, literally meaning 'Summer's End,' is the Celtic festival held on November 1st, which some say marked the Celtic New Year ... Yin -- the dark negative feminine principle in Chinese dualistic cosmology
