So I bought tasty muffins this weekend to have for breakfast this week because I haven't had a tasty muffin in far too long. Yeay for tasty muffins! And I even bought a new bottle of milk to go with my tasty muffins.
Yesterday's breakfast was great. The muffins are indeed tasty. But my old bottle of milk that was almost gone tasted kinda funky, so I was going to have fresh milk today with my tasty muffin. I heated my tasty muffin and then pulled the new bottle of milk out of the fridge. Long story short, the whole thing of milk was frozen. Solid. Tasty muffins without tasty milk is a sad thing. I, of course, still ate my muffin, which was still tasty on its own, but tasty milk would have made the breakfast experience even better.
Now, the question is: how the heck to I get a whole thing of milk to thaw and still be drinkable?!
::milk-longing sigh::

Date: November 2nd, 2004 09:37 am (UTC)as for the how - depending on the size of the container, you could put a small one in a basin of cool water (not warm, it will spoil it), but i recommend just putting it in a warmer part of the fridge, and taking it out every couple hours & giving a shake :)
btw - that's usually a clue in this household that it's time to turn up the fridge to a warmer temp (we go thru this EVERY autumn and forget to until something freezes)

Date: November 2nd, 2004 11:14 am (UTC)this morning my OJ was frozen. I had to leave the jug under the running faucet for a while, but eventually thawed enough for a glass. It's evil when the fridge goes psychotic.

I usually have a problem with it being too warm and getting funky too quickly, so I turned down them fridge. But I didn't know it could freeze solid! :|
