OMG SNOW!!!

When I noticed it snowing around midnight last night, I really didn't expect there to be anything left of it in the morning. It's Alabama; I haven't seen snow in about 10 years. Imagine my surprise this morning!


OMG SNOW!!


Oh, no! Iron Car has an icing problem!


Snow depth.


I got so excited about it, I went right outside in my PJs.


Rosie was VERY confused. She's never seen show before!


Usually, she darts right outside when I open the door in the mornings.


But today, it took several tries to get her outside.


After a while, she got used to it.


She even did the cute pounce thing I've seen foxes do on ice!


Alas, the snow is gone now. But still... OMG SNOW!!!

We got a little bit of snow here! This morning, I thought all we'd gotten overnight was drizzly rain, but it was coming down again at 7:00 am.

Just a light dusting, in the end. So pretty.

I actually ran to the store to get a disposable camera because most of my dogs have never seen snow before. But none of them did the cute pounce-y thing (though my girls had a ton of fun running through the snow). My chihuahua thought we were all nuts and ran to the door, begging to be let back inside. He stood looking out the glass in the door, watching everyone else play in the snow but refused to come out.

Total idiots, sometimes! You just have to say "it might snow" and everyone stampedes to the grocery store :P

I always wish it would snow just enough for me to make my traditional "teeny snowman on hood of car". Alas, we did not get enough to think I could try. Maybe next time.

Hee! That's awesome!

To my recollection it has only snowed twice here in my 26years and both times it wasn't enough to actually stay or cover the ground.

I'm kinda sad that I missed out on Alabama's "blizzard of '09," but I guess I have gotten more than my fair share of snow in Chicago over the last 3 years. :p Thanks for posting pics!
