I've seen a couple of people on my F-List post entries from their childhood journals, so it inspired me to look at my old diary... yes, the one with teddy bears and pink roses that says "diary" on it. :P

Horrible spelling, lack of punctuation, and general butchering of the English language as written then...

August 13, 1996
School starts tomarrow and I am going to a new school [school name].
And I have this band class that I was suposta pracitice for all the rest of
the summer but I didn't I only praciticied for 30 seconds the whole
summer and I am dead I guess I will be put back in to the starting class.
Its not that bad. I hope. I tell you if I'm dead or not tomarrow after
school. If I live that long.

Oh, 11-year-old me...

My deep, dark secret is revealed: I can't spell. My writing from elementary school is pretty much indecipherable, and even now, ten years later, I still have trouble with many words. Stupid dyslexia...

Thank goodness for spell-check. *pets it*

I still can't spell or write even though I took Special ED classes for it. *sporks lexdysia, hugs spell-check*

Ha! And even with spell-check I still type randomly wrong words! I'm hopeless! XD

Hey now. You actually manage a decent sentence or two. All I ever talked about in my old diaries was how my dad was mean and wouldn't let me play with my friends... and I have to go watch Buffy.

I never managed to successfully keep a diary when I was young. I hated writing then and if I did have a diary it would be whiny and childish.

Even as an 11-year old, you were hilarious!
