A rather long list of my favorite moments, mostly SG-1, but a bit of Atlantis...
Stargate SG-1: "Zero Hour" -- OMG! I think this is the best ep since "Lost City"!! The best Jack ep, at least. So much wonderful Jack! I really can't list all my favorite moments because every moment is a favorite, but here are most of them...
-- Jack sticking his finger in his coffee while talking to Walter. (Hi, Walter, by the way!)
-- Walter answering Jack's questions before he even finished his sentences.
-- I still squee over the new credits, even though we got a new shot of everyone but Rick.
-- Peridot!
-- On the phone with General George.
-- JACK: "Is that snippiness?" / DANIEL: "Is that a word?!" (Yes, Daniel, it is. *g*)
-- Hi Major Davis!
-- Magnifying glass! ROTFL!!
-- Hi Dr. Lee!
-- Teal'c being all smiley when he and Daniel were talking to Sam.
-- Jack showing the delegates their room and then later locking them in, and wiggling the keys in the window to taught them.
-- Jack saying amicably.
-- So, I guess the laptop came with the whole General gig?
-- Voiceovers while writing to Hammond! I loved that he sounded like he was reading from the page.
-- Jack talking about doughnuts.
-- The bunting "just won't be the same" if they just get white and blue and add red to it. :)
-- Hi Reynolds!
-- Ba'al said whom... Even if he is a son of a @#$%!, you have to love correct grammer. And what's with the new outfit?! Honey, it does nothing for you. The old one during "Abyss" was much better, but you're evil, so what do I care...?
-- Reynolds relating Jack's experience with Ba'al to Jack's aide (whose name I never caught).
-- JACK: "If it gets my team back, I don't care [if I get court-martialed]!"
-- JACK to Camulus: "Let's take a walk, you and me." I never worry about his grammar, but it always makes me happy when it's used correctly!
-- Is anyone else worried that Dr. Lee got plant spores up his nose, to cause trouble later?!
-- Hi Siler!
-- Jack napping... so cute!! Awe, poor thing hasn't slept in over two days... and still can't. :(
-- JACK to Ba'al: "...of course I dare mock you."
-- JACK: [Provoking]... "It's what I do."
-- Jack calling Camulus "Cammy."
-- Oh, my... The wide shot of Jack looking at the Gate after SG-3 fails to come back with SG-1... That so has to be capped!!
-- Reynolds and the others in the Gateroom, showing their support of whatever Jack decides to do... I just get the uncontrollable urge to salute those guys!
-- Jack in civvies!! ::drool::
-- Jack looking at the lockers. :(
-- Jack's hand as he stops the elevator from closing... I still can't get over those hands. :D
-- Hi Sgt. O'Brien, also known as Pierre Bernard from "Conan O'Brien"!
-- Jack's "clothes I abhor" comment.
-- Smart Jack, switching the ZPM.
-- The framed items on the walls of Jack's office.
-- Dress blues, with stars!!
-- The aide saying he respects Jack and the job he does.
-- Fruit basket. :)
-- "Never mind" on his resignation. I swear, I really was almost ROTFL! I slapped my knew so hard, I think I hurt myself. But when I re-watched it, I noticed some other words on the page... in the second paragraph from the bottom, he says something about "paper cuts." LOL! I want to read the whole thing.
-- And last, but certainly not least, Jack looked so gorgeous in this ep! He's looked great all season so far. I think I know why, but I'm not saying it out loud so I don't jinx it!
::hugs the great episode::
Stargate Atlantis: "Thirty Eight Minutes" -- Two great Stargate-related episodes in one night!! I even stayed up late just to record this ep. :) A few of my favorite moments...
-- Oh, my, Whumped Sheppard... be still my beating heart. :D Or actually, his! Crikey... ::notfallingforhimnotfallingforhimnotfallingforhim::
-- TEYLA: "We should let you rest." / SHEPPARD: "No, you should get me food."
-- Nitpick... Has anyone else noticed that all nine chevrons are lit up on the Gates floating in space? Why all nine?! You only need seven for travel in your own galaxy and eight to go to other galaxies. I see no reason nine should be lit up. Maybe the graphics people thought it look cooler, but it's wrong, so they should stop messing with the OCD fans...
Anyway, I really enjoyed the whole night of shows! SQUEE!!

Date: August 2nd, 2004 03:50 pm (UTC)I've been with SG-1 for 7 seasons; I just love it. I see that you added me to your friends list... Be careful, or I might have you liking SG-1! ;)

Date: August 3rd, 2004 12:27 am (UTC)Wow. Didn't even know you loved the show. ;-) Wouldn't it be great to see a spin-off of some kind? It's such a cool universe, I'm sure there are many stories out there waiting to be told...

Date: August 3rd, 2004 02:00 pm (UTC)Well, it went off the air way before I got on LJ, and I haven't seen it in a long time, so it never came up. But I'm sure you'll hear a lot about it when the mini series gets here!
im back!
Date: August 3rd, 2004 10:16 am (UTC)I don't know how i found you, i think i may have conducted a search for people with the same interests in sci-fi, and you appeared under SG1..
(note the fantastic grammer this afternoon)
i just saw that 'stolen' clip from the miniseries. Have you seen it? its the first minute or so after the....oh actually i better not say anymore cause i don't know if youve seen the forth series, and i dont want to spoil anything for you.
( grammer has gone to hell now have you noticed?)
anyway i do sort of like SG1, i catch it occasionally on tv here when im looking for Eastenders or something and i always watch it to the end no matter how much ive missed.i dunno anyones name but i like the bloke whos always being sarcastic...hes a bit older maybe the chief or something...( do they have cheifs in SG1?)actually, im on the wrong show, i think thats maybe Enterprise....a n y w a y!!!
when i asked about messaging i meant like when your tapping away and someone youve added to your freind list is online, can they tell your on line and can thay send you a private message or do they have to post in the journal like everyone else?
i really am that thick, i have broken/corrupted three p.cs at work in the last 5 months..
think ill scurry off and practise my spelling now im away to tidy the house and discipline my cat.

No, I haven't!

Don't worry. I've seen all the episodes, so nothing is spoilery... except if it from the actual miniseries. And even then, I've seen commercials and stuff, so I know something has to happen rather immediately if we want John and Aeryn in the episodes. ;)
Oh, and thanks for thinking about spoilers! I really hate them sometimes when no one gives me warning...
anyway i do sort of like SG1 ... i like the bloke whos always being sarcastic...hes a bit older maybe the chief or something...
Tehe, well if you *are* thinking of SG-1 and not Enterprise (which I like, too, BTW), that's Colonel Jack O'Neill. He's the leader of the SG-1 team. And I'm totally in love with him, as you'll quickly realize if you hang around my LJ long enough!!
when i asked about messaging i meant like when your tapping away and someone youve added to your freind list is online, can they tell your on line and can thay send you a private message or do they have to post in the journal like everyone else?
I guess it would depend if both you and the other person have Yahoo or AOL Messenger... Yahoo, for instance, has a little smiley next to the user names that are bright and awake when someone is online and dark and asleep when not online. (Did I help at all?!)
Oh, BTW... If you ever need any icons for your LJ, I love making them! Or I could lead you to lots of other places to find nice ones. :)

Date: August 3rd, 2004 08:25 am (UTC)Want to talk goofs (and OCD fans)? When they dial the gate from the puddle jumper, they only hit 6 chevrons. And that's including the center crystal that actually dials the gate. Nick and I watched that a couple of times last night to be sure.

Date: August 3rd, 2004 02:27 pm (UTC)Why did you have to say that?! Now THAT is going to bother me, too!
It's still a brand new show, so they have to get their footing. They just need to do it faster. *g*
You know, it would be the epitome of a sad life if we wrote in to the show to tell them that they have these things wrong... ;)
Oh, and ROTFL at your Jacob icon!!! Was it monkeys? ::snickers::

The "Was it monkeys?" is a Firefly joke. Mal (the captain) goes into the engine room and wires are every where and he says to the mechanic, "Was it monkeys? Were there some terrifying space monkeys in here?"
I love Firefly.

The "Was it monkeys?" is a Firefly joke.
OMG!! Maybe that's why I love it, because I heard Mal say it!
"Was it monkeys? Were there some terrifying space monkeys in here?"
Which episode was that?!
I love Firefly.
Oh, I do, too. I think I was physically attacked to my DVDs after I got them. I'm really looking forward to the movie!

Date: August 10th, 2004 07:46 pm (UTC)Which episode was that?!
I believe it's in "Serenity" or "The Train Job." It's in one of the first ones, I know that. I actually don't know Firefly completely obsessively. That's what my roommate

Date: August 13th, 2004 12:43 am (UTC)I would bet my life that I've seen your LJ name somewhere else (besides in SKRoberts journal). Do you write fanfic... or... I don't know but it's familliar. Plus, with all we have in common, at least TV/movie wise, I wouldn't be surprised if I've run across you in the fandom...

Date: August 13th, 2004 11:22 pm (UTC)Daniel Jackson. Oh, Danny boy, I bow down to your sexy glasses and snarkiness. I'm the Spacemonkey's biggest fan (excluding you of course) and have been since I started watching the show in its second season. (It's my favorite show if you didn't know.) I hadn't even seen the movie when I started watching the series.

No. I don't know anything about the new season! GIVE!!

Date: August 17th, 2004 12:53 am (UTC)I actually wanted to throw up when I saw these photos. I’ve always liked that Andromeda’s female characters were beautiful… but not in that stereotypical blond, Baywatch, Seven of Nine (though 7 was my favorite character on that show but that’s not the point…) female. However, this new girl. Gag. Just… the outfit and…
She might even be a decent actor but I hate her already. I hate shows suddenly deciding they need to up their male viewership (aka Tok’ra Barbie) by adding a busty blonde. I mean… Lexa is freaking gorgeous! Granted, she's preggers with Daniel’s baby and can’t film like she did before... But adding a new android (especially this one) will permanently really hinder my wanting to watch the show.

Ick. She reminds me of a FemBot from Austin Powers! lol

Date: August 17th, 2004 09:59 pm (UTC)Same here. I was scared to death of Tok'ra Barbie. I thought she was going to ruin my show! Luckily, she was on a grand total of 2 or 3 eps.
I mean… Lexa is freaking gorgeous!
Oh, she is. To me, her beauty lies in that she looks realistic... unlike the newbie looks, well, artificial. Does that make sense?
Granted, she's preggers with Daniel’s baby
Awwwwe, I didn't know that! :)
Ick. She reminds me of a FemBot from Austin Powers!
I hate to say things about people when I don't know them, but she looks like a cliché on legs! PINK?! ::looks up actress:: Oh, I've actually seen her in things before! I have nothing against her as an actress, and she's actually much prettier than she appears here. Those pics do nothing for her. And I think she's much more attractive with dark hair.
Anyway, all I can say is she better stay away from Harper... ;)
no subject
Date: August 18th, 2004 02:44 pm (UTC)Yup, Lexa's pregnant. She's probably a couple of months. I saw convention photos of her at a more recent event and she was barely showing. That child will be gorgeous! lol
no subject
Date: August 19th, 2004 03:31 pm (UTC)Poor, poor Harper. Oh, if he only knew that there are so many lady fans out here!! ;)
He'd be a great match for Firefly's (and don't kill me if I spell this wrong) Kaylee. That'd be a great crossover.
OMG, that would be a pairing! (And you did spell it correctly. *g*)
Yup, Lexa's pregnant. ... That child will be gorgeous!
Odds are certainly in its favor. :D

Date: August 11th, 2004 11:40 pm (UTC)Oh, and you know... I've always said that Walter was the lovechild of Rader from M*A*S*H and Gunther from FRIENDS... and when he started finishing O'Neill's sentances like Rader did, my theory was proven right! MUHAHAH! :D
