110 words. Jack and Daniel got a little chatty.

=====

Title: Passing
Prompt: "pockets"

"Leave me alone, Daniel. Please."

"Just wanted to see if you're okay and that, uh... I'm sorry for your loss."

"Well, you said it. Now you can go."

"I know you're having a hard time dealing, Jack, but you don't have to be such a jerk."

"I'm sorry. I just... don't know what I'm going to do without them."

"It was just a pair of cargo pants."

"But they were really good ones! I mean, come on, think of all those pockets. Carry things like matches, pocketknife, duct tape... whatever!"

"You can always buy a new pair."

"Alas, they'll never be the same. Please just go away. Let me grieve..."/lj-cut>

Awwww. The smiling kitty is so cute.

And like [livejournal.com profile] artifuss said, EKGs measure your heart beat rhythm and the muscle work it does in a certain period of time via those electrical impulses you send. They don't hurt (unless you have a very hairy chest and a mean nurse, then the removal of the taped wires could hurt a bit, but not worse than ripping of a band aid), they are just a bit annoying sometimes. I get one done every two years and my brother has to do one of those long term EKGs every year to avoid a heart failure like my Dad and uncle had. Sometimes it's so much better to be a woman and to have that second x chromosome to balance out disease from your father's side.

Regarding the fainting: Tell the doc you easily faint and you want him/her to get the blood out of you while you lay down. It's easier for your body to provide your brain with blood and oxygen that why. The lack of oxygen in the brain causes the fainting and the blood taking and the stressy situation cause the blood to get away from the brain into your arms and legs, so that you can run away (stupid thing from the times where people had to run away from mammoth and sabertooth). Plus, when you are already laying down you won't hurt yourself when you faint.

Don't look at the syringe. Don't look at your blood, not even when they have it in those "containers". That only causes more stress for your body. Close your eyes or look at the ceiling and have some happy thoughts of Jack or Alexis or some happy muffins or me or whatever makes you happy.

After the doc or nurse took the blood stay down for some more minutes. Then get up slowly. Sit on that thing (I need more English words) on which you were laying before. When you feel you get a bit dizzy in the head, lay down again for some more time. If not, stand up slowly.

If you don't have to be there fasting, eat something half an hour before the appointment. And have something with you to eat right after they took your blood.

That's the way I avoid fainting after they drew blood from me. At least, when the weather isn't hot. In the summer I faint no matter what I do. But it's nice to only faint twice a year instead of 15 times.

Shrek 2 is pretty darn good
I so wanna see it. Why do German cinemas always get movies last. Stupid dubbing stuff. I wanna watch the original version anyways. At least I'll get to watch Harry Potter on Sunday. Alan Rickman's voice and Tom Felton's body, here I come. That sounds more dirty than I wanted it to be. I'd never touch Tom. Not for the next year anyway.

Yay! New Jack vid. Hope you try to avoid to spoilery stuff in there.

Carry things like matches, pocketknife, duct tape... whatever!"
Should have been swiss army knife, just for the fun of reminding me of MacGyver.

I've seen this outtake or whatever it was, where Jack and Sam are in this ice cage when they got back to that second Stargate on Earth and Amanda forgot her text or whatever and was just saying stuff like "You used to be MacGyver, now your are MacUseless" "I'm stuck on a glacier with MacGyver". It was funny.

And hey, when I voted, it looked pretty good for your wall. Like all four votes for Happily Ever After and none for the others. I knew that one would be a favorite. Go Alexis and Alyson.

I'm so glad I have a bit less trouble getting blood drawn. I would die fainting every time.

But good luck for you to not pass out.

I planning to be kind so you can watch it.
You are so nice to me.

Yes, but that would have been three words rather than one. But the duct tape should have given it away that I was making a MacGyver reference anyway!

Yeah, sorry, forgot about that OCD thing for a minutes there. And well, duct tape reminds me of hockey training, rather than MacGyver. Of course I only took hockey lessons, because RDA loves hockey, but still I see that ice stadium when it comes to duct tape. Swiss Army kneif always remind me of MacGyver. But well, the important thing is, that Danny is like a MacGyver jr. or something.

That is a priceless outtake!
Yeah, I was laughing so hard, my mother started to complaining. Something about wanting to sleep. Who sleeps at 2 am?

I just looked. 13 people have voted. 10 are for Happily Ever After!!
Go Alexis and Aly. It just has to win.

Lucky you.
Well, I'd never wake up from fainting if I'd fainted ever time they take some. I have to go at least every four weeks and twice a year I get a kidney CT thing where they take blood from me too. But with the stuff I told you earlier, I can avoid fainting most of the time.

Well, drabbles are word count sensitive, and I won't let myself go over 110, even though a true drabble is 100.
Oh, I see. I somehow thought it would be between 100 and 200 words.

Matches, duct tape, twine, gum wrapper, just about anything reminds me of him. *g*
Yeah, that's right. At least half of the item on my desk got used by him in one or more episodes. And it helps to have a picture of him next to the screen. Though I actually don't need a picture to get reminded of Mac. It's all in my head.

Well, my body hates me too. But when I think about it more and even watch the nurse doing it, I pass out more easily. And if the weather won't be nice to me and the temperatures drop at least 6°C, my circulation will give up on me no matter what. It just can't deal with the heat and the blood loss.

And yay! MacGyver rules. But thinking does hurt sometimes. We got that heat thing here yesterday. Temperatures rising to high in a day from jacket weather to t-shirt weather. I have a headache and shouldn't think. Well, I shouldn't sit in front of a computer either. That's why I'm gonna go to the basement now and read some nice books.

Yeah, I hate my headaches. Why do I have to take drugs every day? How can people voluntarily do that to their body? Why does it have to be so warm in the summer? Why can't I live in Canada?

*back to the basement*
