Pics of the Garden

Not too long ago, we go a new door for the back of the house. This one has a window in it. When I'm taking a break from fandom, I like to stand and look out into the garden. The wondrous creatures I see! Well, okay, they're pretty average for this area, but they're still cool. So, here are pictures!

Dragonfly!

Silly squirrel!

Chipmonk! There are two in our yard. We call them Chippy and Dale. We're not sure which one's which, though.

Lizard. With Kung Fu action!

'Nother lizard. It's on the end of the protruding board.

Birdfeeders and crepe myrtles.

Birds.

A moth on the Butterfly Bush. I found that amusing. *g* The moth is in the very center of the picture.

ScaryAssGrasshopper. Well, that's what I call them. They give me the heebie jeebies!

Perched random bird and hummingbird! So cute.

Hummingbird in flight!

Hummingbird in flight again! I love this one...

I love the kung-fu lizard!! Hee!
Moth on a butterfly bush....*snicker*
Grasshoppers can be very scary. Personally, I hate crickets. Particularly camel crickets. They might be evil.
That last hummingbird pic is indeed great :D I've tried snapping pictures of birds in flight, but I don't have much luck.

Date: July 29th, 2005 01:08 pm (UTC)It is, indeed. We have many, er, I don't know what they're called, but they're on poles we stick into the ground. They give the garden a little extra fun and give the critters something to perch on. *g* That one happens to be a spider web with a large spider on it.
I love the kung-fu lizard!! Hee!
Isn't it awesome?! I swear, it posed just for me. :)

For every one pic that came out, I took at least 6 others of the same thing. Silly zippy birds. *g*
