Drabble

My idea wouldn't fit into one drabble, so here's another couplet! 100 words each.

Title: Artifacts
Prompt: "moving day"

A knot catches in my throat as I open the door to his room.

Everything is exactly as he left it.

It's almost like he's still here.

But he isn't.

My son is dead.

And I'm to blame.

I've caused so much pain to my family.

Now the pain has come back to bite me.

It's only fitting that I take on the task of packing up his things.

That's why I'm doing this while Sara's away.

I'd never leave this for her to do.

She has cried herself to sleep too many times already.

This pain is mine alone.

I run my hand along the mantel.

So many trophies.

I remember the day he won each of them.

He loved baseball.

And having his picture taken.

To smile, to laugh.

He loved a lot of things.

Even his parents.

But no more than we loved him.

I don't know how Sara is going to live without him.

Sighing, I take one last look around and begin my chore.

Then I pause...

This room embodies Charlie's happiness and spirit.

Through this room, he's still alive.

I won't let this moving day happen.

I won't let Sara live through Charlie's death again.

I should stop giving you funny links to Potter puppets. I won't get a new link of the week otherwise. Well, the bothering is so much fun, one can watch it every day. And you didn't even include a naked warning.

I wanna find the other ones. A friend said, there is a series of them out there. But I've only seen those two.

The drabbles are very sad. I wanna hug Jack. And then I wanna get back to Dannys jello filled pants. Where was I again.

Oh, yeah, didn't take a look at the banners. But I like the Potter icons and will take one, as soon as the randygame is done this week. I don't know, why I wanna wait, I didn't even vote for it. Well, I'm weird.

And this time I voted for the rainbow. But only as a second choice. Sorry. I like Alexis and Alyson, but the OTP thing is more fandom connected for me. So the other one got the first vote, because I thought it fitted the theme better. But your's is the one I'm having as a wallpaper at the moment. But you already knew that.

And why do I keep on babbleing? I hate to wait for a cake to be done to do the frosting.

I will. Though I gave up looking for them actively. I just sent out my Potter minions from www.angelinvestigations.de. (don't go there this month, cause the graphic persons are just mean and stupid and forgot about Wes (I don't count his hairshadow) and Gunn in the picture but put most charas up there twice. They are so on my hate list at the moment, that is not a goodbye splash for the series. I can't wait for July. Thanks to some higher power June at least is Wes month in my Angel calender though, so I didn't kill anyone yet). Sorry, that needed to be said again.

O-o-o, nice icon choice! That's my favorite. Little tidbit -- the tree wasn't originally in the picture... at least not in that location. I moved it to make the icon more interesting. *g*

Well, it's the main German fan site for anything Angel, so yeah, most of it is German. But the links on the news site usually lead to something English. It has nice pictures and there are some English fan fics in the forum.

To bad they don't have the May splash in the archives yet. But wait, I saved it, I can upload it and link you to it.

And this is one of four that include Wesley. Wesley never had a splash all for himself. At least not form artists, that allow their splashes to get archived, since I haven't been on that site the first two years and only the last and a few month. Can you believe that? They change it every month. They had like 40. And only 4 with Wes, no single with Wes. Kate had one all for herself for crying out loud. They are all Wes haters. Me and lilahfan. But we both suck at graphics.

But you can feel free to make one anytime you are inspired. The rules are, it has to have Angel Investigations on there somewhere. And don't spoil anyone who's just watching the German dubbed version. Meaning, don't do anything after "Sleep Tight". It is a public fact that Spike will join the cast. You can use grown up Conner as well, since the DVDs for Season 3 are already available. Just don't make a "Rest in Peace" Wesley one or something. Oh, and don't feel the need to make one in the first place. This is just something for you, in case you are very very bored.

You could either go to the message board and get a user name (it should be possible for you to get through the procedure of registering without knowing German) and post it under the spoiler forum in fanarts, or you can give [Unknown site tag] a notice in her lj. It's just her fanfic collection lj, but she is the co-webmaster and I don't think she would mind that.

And again, don't think you have to do it. Just in case you are bored, get inspiration and can't stand the wrongfullness, that the five main graphic persons are doing to me oh and Wes of course. Or you just want to make me really happy for a month. But you already do that all the time with your banners and wallpapers and all.

And now after getting steamed up about the Wes affairs over at angelinvestigations.de I forgot to mention the Draco icon tree wonder.

I love the tree where it is and I didn't see that you manipulated it. Well, I'm not good at theses things, but you did that very well. I love the wavey line it makes and it directs you eye to Draco. You have no choice but to look at him, even if you don't love to look at him all day long, like I do.

I think that's it for me and spamming this entry of yours.

Well, that is certainly an injustice! I might just have to do something about that. *g* Just not right now since I'm already busy with my SG banners and RandyFanGame... Speaking of RFG, I just finished a cool Wes wallpaper. I'd show you, but you don't like to be spoiled. But if you did, it could be found here. ;) It might make an interesting splash. But the pic of Wes is from "Sacrifice," so it might spoil someone... if only vaguely.

Well, it's not, that I don't like to be spoiled for your work for RFG. It's just, that when I already saw your work, chances are even smaller for me to vote for you. Okay, I still vote for you like half of the time, but I feel bad when I do. I had so many more chances to look at your work than at the others. And make out details and fall in love. It's no easy being a judge, who doesn't have a single clue about the work that needs to be put in the stuff that has to be judged. But I try my best.

And the picture would be fine for AI. Like I said, pics from all seasons are allowed, if they don't give away to much. And let's face it, Wes has some glowing ball or cube in every season. He likes to play with this shiny stuff. *gg*

And when the graphic persons like the style you use, I might finally have my first stand alone Wes splash. After more than three years. It's just sad. People need to love the Wes. Well, I think there might be some more Wes lovers, when Season 4 finally starts here. Those that only go for the body. I love my Season 2 Wes. And I know deep down in the other Weses there still is that perfect Wes.

Exactly. I wanna have that Wes as a friend. I don't think the others would have become my friend. Though I wouldn't have abandoned him, after his changes. I just love him in season 2. He is such a nice guy there.
